Give a £10 book gift and light up a child in care’s Christmas

Christmas is an especially tough time for a child in care.  A surprise book gift shows them that someone cares – will you be that someone?

Through our Letterbox Club, we send book parcels out during the year to children in care.

For many children it may be the first time they have had a letter or parcel through the post and for some, these may be the first books they’ve owned.

‘I thought WOW when I got the parcel because I have never ever had a package or a parcel in my entire life I am 10 years old.’  Shannon

This Christmas, we want to surprise these children, by sending each child a special book gift which they will not be expecting.  That’s a total of 9,700 children – can you help us?

Donate £10 today and you can send a surprise book gift to a child to make them feel special this Christmas.

We have carefully selected six hardback books to send to children aged 3-13 years old – including Three Little Owls illustrated by Quentin Blake, Creaturepedia and National Geographic’s Weird but True.

Books are picked according to the age of the child, and alongside the book, each child will also receive a specially created festive poster and postcard by illustrator Adam Stower.

‘It may not seem much, but when you’ve not had much attention in life, it is’ Foster Carer.
