Paradise Wildlife Park is voted Hertfordshire’s ‘No.1 Outdoor Attraction’ by Trip Advisor and is set in the beautiful surroundings of Broxbourne Woods, in the heart of the Hertfordshire Countryside.
Why not visit this Halloween for their spine-chilling after-hours ‘Dinos after Dark’ ticketed events, every weekend from Friday 20th to Sunday 29th October. Walk with their dinosaurs after dark – if you’re brave enough! Visitors can meet over 40 life-size moving and roaring dinosaurs at the incredible World of Dinosaurs attraction – a real thrill for any dinosaur adventurer. This is one of the UK’s biggest and most spectacular animatronic dinosaur attractions, set in acres of natural woodland.
The zoo is also home to over 800 exotic wild animals, from the biggest tiger species, Amur tigers, to the world’s smallest known monkey the pygmy marmoset. Paradise exhibits the largest green anaconda on display in the UK and holds one of the best big cat collections in the country inside the World of Animals. The newest areas of the zoo are the habitats called ‘Sun Bear Heights’ and ‘Jaguar Jungle’, which are both designed and themed to emulate the natural environments of Southeast Asia and the Pantanal of South America. Living with the sun bears are a binturong and a pair of Asian small clawed otters, in a UK-first mixed species habitat.
For memories that last, visitors can have a family meal with a tiger view in Bamboo Kitchen, situated at the Land of the Tigers or choose to have a fast-food adventure in the Safari Diner. For quick snacks, a stop off at Sun Bear Bakery is highly recommended, where customers can watch the sun bears as they eat a delicious pastry or two.
Paradise is also Europe’s leading wildlife park for animal experiences where visitors can meet mischievous meerkats in a Meet the Meerkat experience and hand feed one of the white lions in the Big Cat Experience. All the funds raised from these animal experiences go directly to the conservation and welfare of the animals in the zoos care and in the wild. Why not plan a visit – the wonder of wildlife is waiting for you!
